Volunteer Ministers Bring New Tools to Serbia

Volunteer Ministers bring their yellow Cavalcade to Novi Sad, Serbia, offering practical tools to empower visitors to help themselves and others with everyday challenges.
The Volunteer Minister European Goodwill Tour sets up its pavilion to help the community, including delivering assists to relieve pain and stress.

The bright yellow pavilion of the Scientology Volunteer Minister European Goodwill Tour opened in Novi Sad, Serbia, offering practical tools to improve everyday life and provide relief in times of need. The grand opening welcomed dozens of visitors, greeted by a Serbian folklore music group, who created a warm and lively atmosphere as attendees toured the pavilion, participated in activities and received guidance from Volunteer Ministers (VMs).

“The pavilion offers practical solutions for everyday challenges faced by people,” said a Volunteer Minister from the European Goodwill Tour. “Traveling across Europe since 2002, the tour informs visitors about effective tools for common problems in life, provides free online courses for self-improvement, helps family members and community members and assists during catastrophes.”

One of the tools visitors learned to use was assists—spiritual first aid that relieves emotional shock and trauma. In the Assists for Illnesses and Injuries booklet, it shows one how they can assist a person to recover more rapidly from an accident, illness or upset. Visitors who received these assists reported immediate relief. One guest said, “I feel reborn. I can’t wait to enroll in the course.” Another said, “I am very happy that I came into contact with you. I was assisted by one of your VMs, who very patiently and expertly relieved my back pain. I felt as if a burden had been lifted from my shoulders. He advised me on everything I asked him. I would like to join your team. If there were more organizations like yours and people like you, the world would be a much better place.”

In addition to assists, visitors explored other tools in courses from The Scientology Handbook—tools which improve communication, relationships, success at work and in life, study skills, personal decision-making, self-confidence and more. Many took booklets covering one of these tools for themselves, and some took sets to share with colleagues, friends and family members.

The pavilion served as more than an exhibition—it offered a space for learning, discussion and personal growth. One visitor said, “I signed up for this course out of curiosity and to learn something new. I was greeted by a cheerful group with a smile and a welcome.”

These moments highlighted the pavilion’s mission: equipping individuals with practical skills to show that “Something Can Be Done About It.”

Since its founding by L. Ron Hubbard, the Volunteer Minister Program has reached people around the world, providing support in times of need and during disaster situations.
