Practical Solutions in the Heart of Vienna
The Volunteer Ministers Cavalcade on Austria’s busiest streets brings practical tools to the community.

The bright yellow Volunteer Minister tri-peak has become a familiar sight across Vienna, where teams of VMs bring practical tools for life to the city’s busiest streets. Volunteers set up information panels, deliver assists, give seminars and reach people who want solutions they can use right away.
Throughout the months of activity, volunteers met students, parents, workers and tourists—many already curious, others encountering the VMs for the first time. Passersby stepped into the tents to look through the booklets, receive an assist or ask direct questions. One visitor described the assist he received as “really relieving.”
VMs also delivered short seminars on The Technology of Study and The Emotional Tone Scale. When a young student struggled with math, volunteers showed her the three barriers to study covered in The Technology of Study booklet and provided her a copy, which she was eager to read. Others came for tools on communication, ethics and resolving conflicts to use in their everyday life.
As one volunteer put it, “Many sincerely thanked us and showed great interest in making a difference.”
Another VM summed up the spirit that now defines Vienna’s VM team: “Together we can make the world better.”
