Scientology Volunteer Ministers Goodwill Tour in Brazil
29 November 2005
In Salvadore, Brazil, the Rondo Escolar, a battalion of
military police, have been working with street children
in an attempt to reduce crime in the city but they have
been discouraged with their lack of success. Many of the
youth are addicted to crack cocaine. Most are illiterate
and so are cut off from prospects of earning a decent living.
That is when a group of the police decided to get trained
on some of the courses the Scientology Volunteer Ministers
Goodwill Tour provides. The course, based on the "Children
booklet" of the Scientology Handbook, really helped.
They found that it is very easy to apply what they learned
from this training. They noticed their ability to interact
with the street kids improved as their training helped break
down the communication barriers that were there in the past.
The Scientology Volunteer Ministers provide training on
each of the chapters of the Scientology Handbook, where
technology developed by Scientology founder, L. Ron Hubbard,
is presented in a very simple manner, enabling people to
quickly learn techniques that help in such diverse areas
as improving communication, morality, the combating of illiteracy
and overcoming drug dependency. The Scientology Volunteer
Ministers Goodwill Tour provides this kind of training to
people of all faiths and religions.
