Rosi's team of Scientology Volunteer Ministers travel to refugee camps and trains local nurses...

...how to do Scientology assists

Scientology VM Rosi with a family she helped in Aceh
Working on a project to bring help to the tsunami victims in the Aceh region outside of Banda Aceh are Indonesian Scientology Volunteer Minister Rosi Mortensen and her husband Taylor from Los Angeles, California.

Rosi said, “Being Indonesian, I am able to bring help to areas that our foreign volunteers can not access. I have now been able to expand our disaster relief effort into all major cities in the Aceh region.”

To date Rosi has delivered seminars on assists to local residents of camps all down the north coast. She has personally trained them and as a result many more people are now helping with the disaster relief. Rosi is anxious to move on to more remote areas she knows haven’t received help as yet, so continues her mission in the Aceh province.

Rosi’s Volunteer Work in Aceh:

Rosi and her team of Scientology Volunteer Ministers travelled to the city of Lhoksuken and worked morning til night helping with supplies and giving assists. As they moved from tent to tent, they taught others how to give assists. Soon the camp residents were helping their friends and families.

After getting military permission they entered a camp in the city of Gedong. In fact the local military and nurses (who had heard of their work) warmly welcomed the team and provided beds for people to receive assists on.

Their next location was the city of Idi Rayeuk. A Moslem ladies group had heard about Rosi’s team and invited them into the area. They were welcomed in true Acehnese style, a custom called “Pesijuk” where good wishes are bestowed upon them.

Rosi and her team tell of their experience, bringing relief to people in the Aceh camps:

“One woman kept saying ’thank you’ over and over again. She said that while she received food and other supplies it was wonderful to receive spiritual help from the Scientology assist team who listened to what she had to say.

“Another woman told us that she experienced so much relief that she felt she was now able to help other people. Therefore we taught her how to give assists and now she is helping as well.

“We delivered an assist to a little girl who had a fever. At first she was crying as she thought she was going to be injected with a needle and was scared. We assured her this wasn’t the case and gave her an assist. She became so relaxed and the fever then broke. Later that day, her father came to tell us that his daughter was getting better and she was now going back to school in the afternoon. He was very happy.

“Another lady was not doing well. She had lost a large number of her family in the tsunami. We gave her an assist and later that day she told us that she was feeling so much better that she had returned to her job as a schoolteacher.

“Everywhere we have been, people in the camps see our work and almost everyone comes to see us with their children. They tell us about their problems and illnesses, and ask what they should do. Our reply is to give them assists and relieve their spiritual trauma. We also see that they get proper medical attention.”

Rosie summed up her experience as follows:

“I think I speak for my husband and the rest of my team, we have never done anything as satisfying as helping my people and seeing real relief that allows them to get on with their lives. These assists are incredibly simple and effective.”

1. Assists are techniques developed by L. Ron Hubbard. They operate on the principle that one tends to withdraw mentally or spiritually from an injured area. Only by restoring communication with this area can one bring the spiritual element into healing, thereby greatly speeding the healing process. Assists are used to alleviate stress and physical aches and pains, or to orient a confused or distraught individual to his present environment.
